Over the past 15 years Clare has organised and participated in openwater events, worked as a swim guide and coach for a well known swim guiding company, organised and participated in open water swim events and coached young athletes
Clare has swum and kayaked extensively around the SW Cornish coastline and is an ardent advocate for keeping our waterways and marine environment clean and protected. With her swim buddies Clare continues search out new swims to add to the Sureswim Kernow portfolio.
Sarah has swum independently since the age of two, competing in the pool through her teenage years in Derby becoming county champion in long distance disciplines.
She has comprehensive teaching and coaching experience in both the pool and open water environs with ASA level 2 teacher, RLSS National Pool Lifeguard, ASA open water coaching and NARS Beach lifeguard qualifications under her belt as well as delivering the SwimSafe programme for the RNLI.
Since moving to Cornwall in 2017 Sarah has rarely been out of the sea, competing at National Level for Portreath Surf Lifesaving club gaining gold, silver and two bronze medals in the British champs and winning the 2k open water distance in her category for CarnBrea swimming club. Her enthusiasm for all things sea is infectious
